Wednesday, June 11th from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us at the AAIM on June 11th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm for a read aloud of “What Makes a Rainbow?” followed by a STEM activity geared toward younger children.

In the story, we learn that a rainbow occurs after it rains and all the different colors it’s made up of. How can we recreate a rainbow inside without having to wait for rain? Let’s find out! Through a hands-on experience using markers, paper towels, and water we will create a rainbow using the effects of capillary.

This event is free. Space is limited, registration is encouraged to reserve your spot. This event is intended for ages 3-5.

Saturday, June 14th from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Join us at the AAIM on Saturday, June 14th from 10:30am to 1:30pm to build a bird house in celebration of Father’s Day.

Attleboro is filled with Sparrows, Crows, Bluebirds, and more! Let’s build them a home—which type of bird do you think will visit you? Come build a bird house with your adult and decorate it with your creative mind.

From 10:45am-11:45am, Mass Audubon will be giving a presentation on native birds, bird calls and more.

This event is free. We welcome all Parents/Guardians/Caregivers. Space is limited to 25 families, registration is recommended to reserve your spot.

Wednesday, July 9th from 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM

Join us at the AAIM on Wednesday, July 9th from 6:15pm to 7:15pm for a read aloud of “The Three Little Pigs” followed by a STEM activity geared toward younger children.

Bring your young learners for a story and engineering challenge. This is your chance for families to work together and put your STEM skills to the test. We all know and love the “Three Little Pigs,” but have we tested the accuracy of its story line? Is the third pig’s brick house the strongest of the three? Let’s find out! We will build each house and test which house stands and which falls by attempting to blow them down.

This event is free. Registration is encouraged but not required. This event is intended for ages 3-5.

11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

It’s Summer! Join us for a 3 day STEM camp as we develop early coding skills using Python. We will learn the basics of programming language and other coding skills as we create a video game.

Adept experience with computers is mandatory. At the end, all participants will be provided a flash drive to take their game home with them.

This event runs three days from Wednesday, July 9th to Friday, July 11th. It will take place from 11:00am – 2:00pm every day. Attending all three days is mandatory.

Students must be 12 years or older. Space is limited, registration and a $15 deposit are required.

Wednesday, July 16th to Friday, July 18th
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Join us for a 3 day STEM camp as we work with 3D printers and Bambu Studio. Learn the basics of 3D printing through hands on experience. We will recreate a real object of your choice commonly seen in Summer and then design an object featured in the Museum.

We will develop the fundamental skills needed to recreate a pre-existing object in a 3D computer setting.

This event runs three days from Wednesday, July 16th to Friday, July 18th. It will take place from 11:00am – 2:00pm every day. Attending all three days is mandatory.

Can you build a boat out of everyday household materials? Your boat must be able to hold the cow, the donkey, the sheep, the pig AND the mouse. In this engineering challenge you will learn what objects float or sink, and which objects can hold up the weight of other objects. Through trial and error, you will have built and firm and buoyant boat.
